Guillermo now Category 2 storm in the Pacific (AP)

This NOAA satellite image taken Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 01:15 PM EDT shows a small low pressure system over the southeastern Caribbean Sea. This system has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone over the next couple of days. Meanwhile, three tropical waves are affecting the remainder of the Caribbean Sea and Central America.  Elsewhere, Tropical Depression Two, located to the west of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands, may develop into a tropical storm as it treks westward over the next couple of the days. Another large area of showers and thunderstorms between the Cape Verde Islands and Africa may slowly develop during the next few days.
